week 2: bad vibes!

i firmly believe that scheduling meetings on mondays should be banned.  i have a 10:00am, 12:30pm and a 5:00pm.  how the fucking hell am i gonna get ANYTHING done?  and that's not all.  i have a meeting every day of the fucking week.  ugh!  bad vibes!

i have a random thoughts section in my planner wher you have to fill in the blanks...i love.  or i like.  or i will.  i learn. etc.  tangina wala bang I HATE?  hahaha!

hay...i soooo wanna go.

"muntik nang maabot ang langit" moment

pero ito talaga ang mas gusto ko:

pero i am pooor!  sino ang pwde mag-sponsor saken?  (by travelfactor)

people annoy me now more than usual.  i think i really am getting old.  pero what if annoying lang talaga ang personality nya?  anyway, i have this friend (pwde ko naman ata sya tawagin na friend haha) and um...every time we have a conversation, i would go "bitch what the fuck?!" over and over and over again in my head.  some people can be so full of themselves and the various ways they try to conceal that fact makes it all the more pathetic.

and come on, i am usually very tolerant with shit.  i spent years observing the behavior of other people around me and i make it a point to understand where everyone is coming from, but this person is driving me insane.

anyway, bahala sya sa buhay nya.  di naman kami close.  hahahaha!

but still....bad vibes!

how do i loathe the corporate setting...let me count the ways.

1.  my project manager told me to get my laptop wifi thingie working so i can still send/receive emails or connect to the shared folders or whatever during meetings.  after about 4 or 5 files, 2 phone calls and more or less 2 1/2  hours of my life, i was able to get it working.  here's a summary or what i did.

  • create a ticket - a task that proved to be daunting as there's no email or whatever on how to do this exactly
  • submit a request form - this was just....STUPID.  i just created a ticket, now they want me to submit a request form.  what the fuck.  does the term redundancy mean anything to you people?
  • route the request form to appropriate people - so they came up with a paperless process which was documented...sure.  i found it in my trash folder.
  • wait for the response from helpdesk - i didnt wait THAT long.  they got me a username and a password with the attached pdf manuals on how to connect within the hour.  the pdf manuals were outdated.
  • close the ticket - so this helpdesk person emails me asking me to close the stupid ticket.  apparently, they have their own and i have mine.  what happened was i created a ticket, route the request form, they create a ticket from their end, the forms get signed, they close their ticket and i close mine.  how stupid is this?
but wait!  there's more!

2.  so after that whole ordeal, i was like...OK fine.  i will get this shit working.  username and password.  should be fairly easy.  WRONG.  so they gave me the outdated pdf manuals, totally useless.  i had to configure my own laptop.  what the fuck.  it's just a fucking wifi connection.  we are not the pentagon.

bad vibes!

OK...moving on...

there was a bit of drama at work.  i wasn't really part of this but i heard about it.

so this guy sent this really disparaging (at least in my opinion) email to another guy.  i can't really detail it here but basically guy 1 told guy2 to fuck off.  the email was very condescending and totally uncalled for.  that would've been fine if they were talking privately or something.  but guy1 just had to CC the entire world.  so of course, it created this pointless tension which is (again, in my opinion) not really necessary.

may tinatawag naman kasi na mabuting usapan.  i don't think it's right to put anybody's career on the line just to get your point across.

nuff said.

bad vibes!

hmm what else?  i spilled coffee on my desk friday morning.  and due to panic, i wasn't able to take a picture of it. but um, that was the only fun thing that happened that day.  life is cruel.

i decided to unwind a bit last saturday.  started the day with lunch at tokyo-tokyo shangrila.

"second floor" haha

i didn't take a picture of my food, i completely spaced out on that.  but i think their katsudon is no stranger to anyone who reads my blog.  so, keri lang.

after a disappointing visit to the customer service counter, a cold wax, some eyebrow threading and saying "sorry po, wala akong credit card" half a dozen times to PPLIC scammers agents, i decided to have coffee at coffee dream.

dream ko talaga matikman ang kape nila...walang stir!

half of the blueberry cheesecake.  i didn't like this much.  parang luma na.

it wasn't so bad.  but you know, it wasn't ooh la la either.

i also visited the new location of toy kingdom.  bigger than the original (i think)

ang ganda naman hehe

there were a bunch of people lining up to have their pictures taken with the lifesize characters

parang zoo lang

there was a cupcake stall there but the salesperson said taking photos is strictly prohibited.  it could be true or she's just a bully.  it was hard to tell.

i was able to try out another semi-new restaurant:  Peri-Peri. (megamall branch)

i think 3rd floor?  di ko matandaan.  this was chef donatello before

nice lighting

they have an ongoing promo, when you buy a chicken meal, you add Php49 for "bottomless" soup and drinks.

promo thing.  sulit naman

self-service

they were actually pretty generous with the drinks.  they have mango juice, iced tea, soda and brewed coffee.

the chicken was surprisingly good.  there were 3 kinds:  lemon garlic, mild spicy and hot & spicy

i got the lemon garlic plus 2 side dishes:  corn and carrots plus pita bread.  the veggies are my friend's side dish.  i think this is Combo E (1/4 chicken with 2 side dishes for Php170)
the soup was so-so.  medyo malabnaw.

we also ordered the clubhouse quesadilla which was nice too.
wahahah may kagat na ito.  actually lahat pala ng food photo nalandi na bago ma-picturan!

all in all, a nice experience.  would definitely come back to try the other dishes.

last, but not the least, sunday night, i was preparing to publish this blog.  i write most of my stuff at work during break so i sent the text file to my webmail.  but, my fucking work mail BLOCKED it.  at first, i thought i sent it to the wrong address.  but NO.  they fucking blocked it.  what a bunch of dildos.

so i took a photo of the text file instead.  hahahaha!  i still have to re-type the whole thing but at least hindi ko na isusulat noh!

grrr corporate setting....bad vibes!
