Week 7: hapi balentayms /wrist
and week 7 just flew by. mwehehehe.
it wasn't very exciting, i pretty much wanted the whole week to end because my old teammates and i scheduled a resort/spa weekend extravaganza. it was enough reason for me to just fast forward my brain to friday.
oh but i was able to catch a bit of balentayms fever at work and at home. our HR department prepared bits of kabaduyan for hearts day. i was one of the (lucky?) few who received this:
may ganon? |
el cheapo chocolates. pero ok naman. beggars can't be choosy. |
when i got home, my mom proudly showed me her heart-shaped chocolate cake given by dad.
naks! ang sweet ni dad. |
hmmm...what else? i did get a chance to eat at ToastBox this week. i first saw this place in HK. My friend and i were very happy when we found out they opened a branch here at greenbelt 5.
small place. pero pwde na. |
i loooooooooooved their coffee. It was the best cuppa joe I've had in a while.
think kopiroti but better |
dapat may instructions talaga |
their food tastes OK. serving? awesome. plus, they're reasonably priced.
nasi goreng (spicy sya ha) |
hainanese(?) chicken. masarap rin! |
also, sometime in week 7, my friend had a sudden craving for Jugno's monster pizza.
best friend, parang favorite natin ito before? hahaha! We like it cause it's cheap and they're open 24 hours. So we can have pizza delivered during wii nights/lazy weekends. nakaka-miss!
my family stopped eating monster pizza sometime ago. Si daddy kasi! hahaha! But anyway, my friend was super curious and wanted to try it out. so... i called and placed an order.
jugno's moster pizza is actually located in my street (as in parang mga beinteng tamblingan lang) so i was super confident that our order will arrive in like less than 30 minutes. pero aba! when i told my address to the lady who answered (with matching "ang lapit lang noh?"), she said
"ma'am baka naman po pwdeng for pick-up na lang? puntahan nyo na lang rito after 30 minutes"
ay ay ay! na-turn off ako! hahaha!!! my friend got a bit pissed too. but her curiosity won so she let it slide na lang.
we ordered jugno's special and cheezy garlic.
ok so friday night, i met with my old teammates and we went to jhun's family resort in antipolo for a much needed rest and bonding time.
hickory spareribs at buttered veggies. i didn't get to take a photo of the caldereta.
YUMMY food!
the morning after |
mas masarap pag night swimming |
gazebo |
pambatang pool. dito lagi si ate evelyn. |
function hall |
syempre dapat may playground |
libre ito ni jhun...thanks jhun!!!
saturday morning, as planned, we went to oils and scrubs, our former officemate's spa business. before that though, we had lunch at tapa king boni.
masarap rin ito |
piyesta na naman! |
masarap kahit ma-oil |
oils and scrubs is located in amorsolo street, makati city. they have what they call the oriental stick therapy which is their signature massage. i didn't get this, i got the regular massage and a body scrub. i loved it! super relaxing! congrats edwin, dhoris and suzy! thanks for the great service!

happy si marydaisy |
the team (wala si dhoris!) |
buknoy wanted to see the travel expo at the mall of asia so we decided to go there next.
we had dinner at world chicken (which was too common so wala rin pictures) and had dessert at cheesecake etc.
really. bad. service. i wouldn't recommend this place to anybody. never again! grabeh, ibang level. first, they gave us a dessert menu which has descriptions of all the desserts that they (supposedly) have. when we started to order biglang sabi
"ay ma'am, yun (sabay turo sa display case) na lang po ang available"
ay ay ay! kaloka. sana sinabi mo yun kanina pa!
the "available" desserts did not look yummy at all. parang luma na. but i thought, what the hell. don't judge a book by it's cover. applicable naman yun sa food diba? hahaha! pero grabeh lasang luma rin yung kinain namin. buti na lang masarap yung kape hahaha!
coffee (Php 90 i think) with dome cake slice |
Php 160 ata ito |
berry something cheesecake. this one is OK lang. |
turtle pie ata. |
nung magbabayad na, bigla na lang sinabi na they can't accept cards now because their machine is broken or whatever. again, hindi na naman sinabi agad! dyuskupo. bad vibes!
anyway, on our way home, we caught the last few bits of the pyro musical thing. it was alright. naalala ko na naman si best friend. remember, nag-pyro rin tayo before? hehehe.
sunday, i was in bed the whoooole day. as in nag-shutdown yung utak ko. i loved it.
on a more serious note.
sunday evening after church, i started thinking again about my future and my plans for this year. i have been too hard on myself lately. i am not sure if i've mentioned this before but last year, my friend ubbie and i listed the things we wanted in life and how and when we will accomplish them. we called it our excel file of dreams. my goals for 2011 are pretty big. whatever happens this year would more or less shape the rest of my plans for the next 5 years. pressure talaga. so during week 7, i was really feeling bummed because i felt that i am not doing enough to make things happen for me. but then, i realized, february pa lang! anuber. masyado akong nagiging emo eh 2 months pa lang naman ang nakakalipas. hahaha!
i really need to relax.
kailangan linggu-linggo magpa-spa! hahaha!
