week 10: keeping it light and happy

my therapy every morning is good coffee.  for week 10, country style was the favorite.

coffee with bagel

masarap siya.  at mas mura pa!  Php40 lang

recently, i decided to forego with overtime so i can get home early to have dinner with my family.  this proved to be a very good idea because it allowed me to bond with my parents (my sister apparently, rarely comes home for dinner) and save money at the same time.  as usual, i was pretty forgetful with the camera but i took  a shot of our meal last tuesday night:

arroz ala cubana (tama ba spelling?)

i couldn't remember much about what happened for week 10.  it was normal, like any other week where UAT System Testing is involved in an I.T. project:  hectic.  repeatedly testing on same functionalities.  revising test scripts.  answering questions.  answering emails.  logging incidents.  meetings over and over and over again you would want to scratch your brains out.  so, i try to balance these job headaches with my so-called social activities.  hence, wednesday night, my friend and i saw Senior Year by Jerrold Tarog.  and...

i  loved it loved it loved it!

and not because we got the tickets at half price (online voucher).  or that there was free ice cream at the theater (which was surprisingly good, by the way)

i am easy to please haha

it was because the movie was really nice, well written and just plain entertaining.

this local indie film is actually a sequel to this equally brilliant short film by the same director.

ito nga pala ang trailer:  if you have time, please try to catch this flick.  it was really fun.  mas makaka-relate ang mga galing co-ed schools.  all-girls school kasi ako eh.

this film actually made me think so much about my life.  but i choose not to write them down here.  maybe, one day...when i become a published writer, i'll let you in on what i 've always regarded as the worst time of my life.

goodness let's not get emo!  /wrist

moving on...

let's talk about the weekend.  saturday was spent at the mall (again).  my friend's brother needed help picking out a laundry basket or whatever.  ako yung naging model.

pero hindi ako nagandahan rito

then, we atteneded the Halo-Halo Indie Film Festival where my good friend carl papa debuted his latest achievement "Lolo".

masarap rin ang food rito pero masyadong madilim para makunan ng pic

blurred pic kasi tinatanggal na nung naisipan kunan haha!

ano kaya yung costumer?

i really liked his movie.  it was done well.  huge improvement on the wardrobe and props.  hahaha!  super super happy for you carl!

the most anticipated "ate shawie and the julians reunion" finally commenced last sunday afternoon.  even though major players were missing (bratinella, napkin-napper, johnny bravo, darkenrose, kitkat, rambutan, douglas), we had a lot of fun.  major thanks to ate shawie of course for the food and venue (kahit di ako naka-swimming), the manufacturers of the big-ass bubble thingie contraption c/o toy kingdom, and to PJ, for simply being there (madalas kasi sya absent).  hehe.

bball court and pool

hindi ko alam kung bakit may snorkel gear eh wala naman isda sa pool

di ako maka-swimming kaya naglaro na lang ng bubbles

happy swimmers
ang yummy ng foooood!

thanks again ate shawie!

next time, we can rent the KTV room.  sa birthday kaya natin carl?  hmm?  we can call it "ate shawie and the julians reunion concert".  hahahaha!!!
