week 12: Sweet Dreams are Made of This

huhu.  

i am sad because this was the usual meet-up place of friends i've met through the years.

but i really do hope they are just renovating. 

anywayy....how was week 12?  hmmm.  i suggested to my boss that my schedule be moved from morning to midshift due to the our build hours.  build, meaning the time when they (software developers) shut down the testing environment and deploy fixes and shit.  after the build, i am required to test again.  so if let's say they build at 6PM, i would have to either wait for it to finish (which sometimes would take hours) or test the next day (since my shift ends at 530).  anyway, i figured it's better to check the build right after than have to wait the next day to see if it was successful or not.  my boss liked this idea so i started coming in around 2-3PM.

it wasn't so bad, but it wasn't great either.  i don't get to do anything at night.  and i did get a little exhausted.  but i had to do it.  i wanted to be the responsible employee.  so, yeah.  there you go.  i bought a lot of food to make me feel better.  for week 12, my obsession was happy cream puff.

for the weekend, as a treat (i always give myself treats so i wouldnt burn out), my friend and i saw sucker punch saturday night.  it was a HELLA fun.

i'm sure carl papa would disagree with me.  but really if you forget about the senseless plot and simply enjoy the action sequences, the costumes and of course, the music...you would agree that the film is kick-ass.  IT IS KICK-ASS.   go see it.  have fun.

side note:  i really loved babydoll's make-up.  it's flawless.  HOT HOT HOT.

and come on, an all-female cast with machine guns and a samurai?  it's brilliant.  emily browning is super cute in this film.  mainly because she had the cutest sailor-moon-inspired costume.  haha!

ito ang gusto kong costume sa october.  DIBS!

she had a couple of tracks from the OST as well. (the girl can sing)  my favorite though is her rendition of sweet dreams.  its delicious.

after the movie, i had decaf and a whoopie pie at starbucks.

cheesecake ata ito.  masarap rin except for the matigas chocolate sa taas.

sunday, i was supposed to work.  it was really part of the schedule.  but i got lazy again. and i kind of felt bad becuse i am a little behind with my tasks.  tsk tsk.  it totally destroyed my aura.  boo.

instead of going to work, i went to megamall.  after mass, my friend and i decided to eat jamaican patties.

the filling was superrrrr HOT.  as in, my friend spilled some of it on her hand and i think she got burned a little.  but word of caution aside, i saw her panic and it was...funny.  hahaha!  instead of wiping the super duper hot filling with tissue, she was just frantically wringing her hand like a maniac.  hahaha!

we wanted to eat a soft pretzel but auntie anne's was closed.  the man behind the counter said that their oven is broken.  hmmmp!  so we tried this new place called chewy junior.  

di ko matandaan kung anong store ito before?

i think they are cream puffs.  they look like cream puffs.  although i didn't see it in writing anywhere in the store.

all i can say is, masyadong chewy si chewy junior (READ: makunat).  my friend and i were laughing our asses off while eating.  i felt the kunat more because of my newly adjusted braces (baka Karma since i laughed at my friend for the jamaican patties incident).  

i really don't know if the reason behind the low quality is the fact that we bought it at closing time (845PM).  pastries exposed to the outside world does compromise the texture.  the vanilla custard filling tasted pretty good though.  but it just did not make up for the really bad texture of the pastry.  but, i believe in second chances so i'll probably come back sometime next week.

hmm, that's it.

oh, and by the way, i am suuuuuper thrilled to announce that i am nearing my 1000th hit!  grabeh!  although, it could only be due to the fact that i visit this site everyday and whatnot but lets not get technical.  i'd rather think that i do have readers hahahaha!  so this is a shoutout to anyone who is crazy enough to visit this blog.  thanks so much!!!
